Precautions before planing any International Trip


Make sure to have proper documentation

When going on an international trip the last thing anyone needs to worry about is documentation.

We can not stress enough on how important this point is, one mistake and your precious trip may get cancelled. The documentation that you need to take care of are-

  • Passport– The basic requirement for any passport for any country is your passport should be valid for three months after you have landed in the country. The strength of your passport determines how hassle-free is your travel going to be? Currently Indian stands on the rank of 64, which is not a very high number so in order for a safe journey get your visa right which brings us to our next point.

  Visa-Check the visa requirement for the country that you are going to visit.

Some countries allow indians get visa on arrival while many don’t. Some of the countries that have visa on arrival policy are-

When travelling to any place whether it be a place nearby or another country one always needs money. So, make sure you are well informed about the currency exchange rate for the country that you are going to visit. currently, the exchange rate for the dollar to Indian is 1$=68.92₹ and 1€=77.17 ₹. So, make sure you have the exchange rate figure out before going on your next trip.

Travel insurance

Travel insurance is something many people tend to turn an eye from but when something critical happens nothing will save more than your own travel insurance. You never know what can happen, you can get sick overseas, you can get into an accident, your luggage can get stolen etc. So by having travel insurance, you make sure you are prepared for the worse of the situations is need be. Travel insurance can be of many types-

  • Flight insurance– this is the simplest travel insurance available. This insurance pays the benefit to a beneficiary in case to a death caused by a plane crash
  • Travel Medical Insurance- this insurance primarily provides any expense in case of a medical emergency that may occur due to sudden sickness or injuries.
  • Group Travel Insurance- this type of insurance are similar to individual travel insurance but are usually 10% cheaper

Vaccination

A month before leaving for your trip be sure to meet with a doctor or better if you can meet a travel doctor as every country has different medical policies. In some countries, you may need to take some proper vaccination before you can travel while in others all you need to submit is a blood and urine test report so it all depends on which country you are visiting.

Embassy

War, terrorist attack, political uprising, economic crisis these are some problems which nobody can predict when can happen but if you happen to be stuck in such problems it can be very dangerous for you. To avoid such problems, make sure you register with the Indian embassy about your travel and any other government agency in which you can register. This way if something does happen in the country the government of your country can help you and get you back home safely
