Cellular Jail:

Cellular Jail is also known as Kala Pani. The construction of this jail was started in 1896 and completed in 1906.

This jail is the best sight for visitors when they come towards Port Blair and it actually greets the eyes of them.

Cellular jail was the house for freedom fighters, who were interrupted in the jail at that time. People can hire a guide for the knowledge of perfect history.


Elephant Beach:

Elephant beach is situated at Havelock Island dock which will take approximately 20 minutes ride of boat.

How to reach Andaman:

By Air:

There are two airports named as Veer Savarkar International Airport and Port Blair Airport which connects the Andaman with other parts of the country and world. People can take the regular flights up to Port Blair Airport and then from Port Blair Airport they can take ships to reach Andaman.

By Sea:

Andaman can also be reached by the sea route but it will take long time to reach there. People can go there from three or four ships which are operated every month from Kolkata and Chennai to Port Blair. From Vishakhapatnam, a ship also sails in a month. This journey will take approx 50 to 60 hours to reach the destination.
